Thanksgiving in Rome: FAQ
When is Thanksgiving 2026?
Thanksgiving 2026 falls on Thursday 26 November. In Italy it is a normal working day, so shops and markets are open and we can cook for you on the day itself.
Can you find a whole turkey in Rome?
Yes. Whole turkeys are not on every counter in Italy, but we order them in advance from our butchers. This is one reason to book early.
What if the oven in our rental is small?
Italian ovens are often smaller than American ones. If a whole bird will not fit, we prepare a boned and stuffed turkey roast with all the same flavours.
Can the menu be Italian instead of American?
Of course. Some guests want the full American classics, others prefer an Italian feast with a turkey at the centre. We design the menu with you.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Tell us about allergies, intolerances and preferences when you enquire, and we build the Thanksgiving menu around them.
Do you speak English?
Yes. We plan your Thanksgiving in Rome in English, from the first email to the last slice of pie.
